Extruded aluminum profiles can be curved to suit the requirements of any industry. Example applications include heavy curtain wall sections, pressure plates and snap- on caps (circle head and arched profiles), single and compound curves, preformed wall panels, ornamental metal (stair stringers, handrails and railings, casings, sheet metal, etc.), expansion joints, metal stud and framing systems for curvalinear walls and ceilings, and similar applications. Metal fabricating:

Conventional or standard as well as custom metal items can be fabricated by Embury. Shapes:

Any shape extrusion including all types of snap together sections can be usually handled without difficulty during bending and radiusing operations. Illustrated below are a variety of stock and custom aluminum sections which can be curved. Note the "EASY WAY" and "HARD WAY" sections; this is the terminology used to describe the direction in which the profile is to be curved.

Caution:

It is advisable to contact Embury before fabrication or cutting of materials required for extrusion bending operations, prior to shipping. In most cases, 18" of material beyond each end of circumference dimension is required.

Finishes: In most cases, components or sections to undergo curving operations can be supplied to Embury pre- finished, however in certain instances it may be beneficial to apply finish after forming, particularly where tight radii are involved.
